Tour Itinirary

Day 1 Chandigarh to Shimla (120 kms / 03-04 hrs)

On arrival at Chandigarh Railway Station/ Airport you will be met by our representative and he we will drive you to Shimla (4 hrs) via Barog, Solan. Enroute you will stop for lunch break and comfort breaks and would have enough time to stop for photo breaks. Visit the Mall road of Shimla Lakar Bazar, Scandal Point, Moll Road, Christ church Shimla after return back to hotel in Shimla overnight stay.

Day 2 Shimla to Sarahan (165 kms / 7 hrs)

After breakfast at hotel we will set off at around 9:00 A.M. Today it is a drive of 8-9 hrs. driving through the beautiful villages of Fagu, Theog, Matiana, Narkanda and Rampur. En route we will have many comfort breaks and will visit the Apple orchards and Hattu peak (3,400 metres/ 11,154 feet) at Narkanda, from where you can have a spectacular view of the mighty Central Himalayas and will also visit the traditional wooden carved temple of Godess Kali on the top. We will also stop by a small lake on the way to Hattu Peak. Later on we continue our drive to Sarahan via Rampur and enroute we will stop for lunch break and various picture breaks and comfort breaks. Sarahan – the tiny village offers the splendid views of Shrikhanda Mahadev Peak (5,155 metres). The major attraction in Sarahan is centuries-old Hindu temple of Godess Bhimakali. Steeped in legend, the temple complex is a resplendent example of hill architecture. Sarahan is also the gateway to Kinnaur valley. Overnight stay in Hotel in Sarahan.

Day 3 Sarahan - Sangla - Chitkul (140 Kms / 6 hrs).

Sarahan is 2744 meters above the sea level. Participate in morning Aarti at Bhimakali Temple. After breakfast, check-out from your Hotel and depart for Sangla (140 kms 06 Hrs ) on arrival at sangla check in to the hotel after have lunch in local restaurants and driving you to Chitkul ( 20 kms, total 1 hrs, each side – 3,450 metres / 11,318 feet.) which is the last village on Indian side on the Indo–Tibetan border. The village of Chitkul is like something from a fairy tale, and you will have a chance to walk slowly around it. The landscapes are stunning, and you will have plenty of time to enjoy them and talk to the local people. We will return to Sangla later the rest of the day is free to relax in the mountain landscape or if you like you can walk to another nearby villages or nature walk. We will have overnight stay at Sangla hotel / luxury tented accommodation.

Day 4 Sangla to Kalpa (40 kms / 2-3 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel check out from the hotel After, explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamru Fort & Temple dedicated to the Goddess Kamakhya Devi which was brought from Assam. After you will be driven to Kalpa village (2-3 hrs.) Enroute we will stop at Recongpeo and will have a walk around the local market. Recongpeo is the district headquarters of Kinnaur district. We will have lunch in a local restaurant where you have a choice to enjoy Indian or Tibetian food. After lunch we will drive to kalpa ( 7 kms), you will check in to your hotel. After some rest you may wish to take a walk to Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village. These villages are covered with thick pine forests and are famous for apricots and apples. The finest view of the Mt. Kinner Kailash Mountain (6000 metres) can be had from here. This is a spectacular sight early in the morning as the rising sun touches the snowy peaks with crimson and gold light overnight stay at Kalpa.

Day 5 Kalpa to Nako (120 Kms / 5-6 hrs)

After breakfast we will drive you to Nako (5-6 hrs). Here you will check in to the hotel or in the luxury tented accommodation. Later on after lunch we will take you for a walk in the village with and visit the buddhist monastery related to guru Padmasambhava (a great buddhist scholar, whose teachings spread to Tibet from India), we will also visit Nako Lake, the residence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama ji. Later on next morning you may wish to walk to the nearby enjoy a wonderful view of the whole Nako village with the Himalayas as the backdrop of the village overnight stay at Nako.

Day 6 Nako - Kaza Via Gue Village – Tabo Monastery (150 kms / 9 hrs)

After breakfast we will drive start early at 08:00 A.M to Kaza. Today we will be entering the beautiful Spiti valley which is also known as the cold desert of the Himalayas (this area is cut from rest of the world due to heavy snow in the winters). en route we will visit the Gue village which is also the last Indian village on Indo-Tibetan boarder. Here we will be visiting the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk which is about 600 years old, which was discovered here while building the road. Later on we continue our drive to Tabo. On arrival at Tabo we will visit the Tabo monastery which is the oldest monastery in the Himalayas. Lunch would be in tabo and later we continue our drive to kaza via Dhankar monestry and Dhankar fort. We will arrive Kaza by late evening. Overnight stay in Kaza.

Day 7 Sightseeing around Kaza (5-6 hrs)

Today after breakfast we will be driven to the village of Lagnza. Here there is an opportunity to walk around the village. You may wish to visit the monastery at the top of the village and on the way look out for fossils. Here you can also see the yak working in the fields or yak grazing in the pastures. If weather permits there is an option drive on to Hikkim - Hikkim village has a post office situated at an elevation of 4,400 m (14,400 ft) and this post office is the one of the highest post offices in the world, and the Comic village, which is now the world’s highest village (4,450 metres) joined to a motorable road. Later we will continue our drive to Kee Monastery and the village of Kibber. Once Kibber (at 4,200 metres) was considered the world’s highest village. There is also the option to walk to the nearby mountains where there are big herds of Himalayan blue sheep and snow ibex gather in the evening. Lunch will be at Kibber village, in a local restaurant, where you will be offered a choice of delicious Tibetan dishes. In the evening we will return to Kaza for a second night at the hotel.

Day 8 Kaza - Chandratal Lake (100 kms / 4 hrs)

Morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and leave for Chandratal Lake by crossing Kunzam Pass (15,100ft) reach Baltal, and proceed to Chandratal lake. On a way have a magnificent view of CB Ranges Peaks. This Deep Blue Water Has A Circumference Of 2.5 Kms. This Is The Source Of The River Chandra According To Some Believers, This Is The Spot From Where The God Indra`S Chariot Took The Eldest Pandava Brother Yudhistra To Swarga To Heaven In His Mortal Form. Full day at Leisure to enjoy the beauty of beautiful lake and natural surrounded Snow peaks. Overnight Stay Camping at Chandratal Lake/ Hotel.

Day 9 Chandartal lake to Manali via Rohtang Pass (140 Kms / 6 hrs)

Today will be our last day of journey. The journey is tough and adventurous as the road between Manali and Chandratal is one of the most adventurous and rough road you had come across. It’s also the most scenic as you will keep on clicking pictures all the way. The road is virtually nonexistence and rocks, dust, waterfalls and streams make the terrain very difficult. However the snowcapped barren mountain’s, vast landscapes and accompanying Chandra River makes the views worth taking all the trouble. By late afternoon on arrival at manali check in to the hotel after explore the local market of Manali overnight stay.

Day 10 Manali to Chandigarh Back (300 kms / 8 hrs)

Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and will drive you to Chandigarh via, Hanogi devi temple and Pandoh Dam, Sundar Nagar Lake, Mandi. Enroute we will stop for lunch break and comfort breaks and will arrive Chandigarh by evening 05:00 PM. Our representative will drop you at Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station.
